Mandorli Farmhouse is a farmhouse located in Trevi, Umbria and is the heart of the Zappelli Cardarelli agricultural farm.
Managed today by Maria Zappelli Cardarelli together with her sisters Alessandra and Sara and with the advice of Mamma Wanda and help of her daughters Julia and Anna, as wells as, some cute furry friends, Mandorli Farmhouse can truly be considered a corner of paradise in the Umbrian valleys.
At the foot of Monte Serano and Brunette, on a hill at 400 meters, it is the ideal place for those who seek tranquility and peace and want to relax in the shade of the Old Almond trees.
It certainly isn’t the usual place with every comfort, at least not the habitual ones, but its’ simple settings will provide a pleasant place to relax.
An ideal place for families and couples escaping the city with the desire to immerse themselves in nature, history and tradition that runs along the Vie Francigena and Francesco, in fact, there’re great number opportunities for excursions that can range from a few hours to the whole day.
Inside the farm there is also an ancient Frantoio (Oil Mill) dating to the ‘700s, called Cardarelli Frantoio, from which the company originates, where one may follow oil tasting courses, do educational farm workshops and guided tours with tastings of the company products.
In autumn, one may participate in the olive harvest, and during the spring and summer walk in the midst of century old olive trees, as well as, go searching for asparagus and wild herbs.
We don’t’ have a restaurant, however nearby there’s a great Osteria, which will welcome you as if you were at home.
The swimming pool of the farm, encircled from the olive tree plants, is opened to the evocative landscape of umbrian hills, with a panorama that it gives, specially to the sunset, an unforgettable atmosphere. The pool, from the characteristic shape of fagiolo, has two levels of depth in order to satisfy the requirements of adults and children.
